Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Regulatory Compliance and Licensing leads and manages healthcare compliance, privacy, and internal audit functions for the network’s affiliated dental practices and business support services.  The position is responsible for updating and maintaining an effective network compliance and privacy program that meets applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.  The position is responsible for identifying, investigating, and evaluating compliance issues and concerns for operations, field teams, corporate, and management.  Duties include:    

  • Updating, developing, and maintaining clinical and corporate compliance program for changing needs of an expanding network
  • Supporting regulatory compliance for new center expansion
  • Developing, communicating, and implementing policies and guidance on compliance issues
  • Developing and maintaining an effective compliance communication program that promotes identifying compliance issues, using the compliance hotline, and raising awareness of compliance issues and policies
  • Preparing and delivering mandatory compliance training and educational programs for all employees, including new employee onboarding training
  • Conducting investigations and on-site audits as needed
  • Working cohesively with diverse functional areas and multiple levels of management and network
  • Conducting and overseeing staffing due diligence, licensing, and renewal process
  • Serving as privacy official, responsible for overseeing and directing the privacy program, and coordinating with security official and other departments
  • Supporting the Clinical Advisory Board entity, initiatives, and implementation
  • Prioritizing and addressing compliance questions and issues
  • Managing and developing regulatory compliance team members
  • Traveling in support of field support, audit, investigation, or other job duties
  • Performing other duties as needed

This position reports to and consults with the Vice President of Legal/Compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws and regulations applicable to dental practices, professionals, and dental and healthcare industries required
  • Knowledge of professional licensing and healthcare laws required
  • Bachelor's degree required; master’s, legal, or advanced degree preferred
  • 7 years’ healthcare compliance matters or related clinical, legal, or auditing experience required
  • Work experience in healthcare required
  • Management and budget experience required
  • Computer skills and knowledge of information systems, databases, and Google or Microsoft office suite required
  • Healthcare compliance certification a plus
  • Medicare/Medicaid experience not required
