The Accounting Manager is a hands on position responsible for the daily operations of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets for multiple ClearChoice locations in 22 states. This position will work closely with the Controller and other accounting team members in developing and maintaining accounting principles, best practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the achievement of a top performing accounting department, as well as working closely with other departments to support the company vision for superior service and future growth.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Hands on supervision of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and fixed assets team.
  • Manage weekly accounts payable check runs for multiple entities.  
  • Responsible for applying intercompany receivables and reconciling intercompany balances.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, IT, and other corporate to drive efficiencies in processes.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Provide training and direction to new and existing staff.
  • Manage annual 1099 process and vendor maintenance.
  • Ensures compliance with financial policies, controls, GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the other accounting/finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Work with the Controller to ensure an efficient and timely year-end audit process.
  • Strategic orientation, with focus on process improvement
  • All other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • Seven to ten years relevant experience, including five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the accounting/finance area.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience working in multi-entity environment, professional services firm is preferred.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of large financial systems, NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Computer proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable and able to perform in a fast paced, growing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to work in an office environment at both his/her own and others’ desks/offices
  • Required daily to walk the floor and be available to help wherever needed
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
